Regional Pricing Support

Regional pricing, always up to date.

Storefront recommendations don't keep up. Prices move, currencies shift, and comparable games evolve. We track it all, flag price drift, and tell you what to do next.

Included in IndieBI Core and IndieBI Pro.

The problem

Prices don't age well.

Regional pricing is one of the clearest ways to quietly leak revenue, frustrate players, and hand money to gray-market resellers at the same time. Follow Steam's defaults blindly and you can end up charging nearly the same for your game in Poland as in Norway. Leave weak-currency regions underpriced and they quickly become everyone's price.

What we hear from studios and publishers

  • We set regional prices at launch and haven't looked since.
  • We follow Steam's recommended prices and hope they're current.
  • Players in one country say we're too expensive, and we can't tell if they're right.
  • Our DLC prices haven't moved since the base game launched.
  • Keys from our cheapest region keep turning up on resale sites.

Why it's hard to see from inside one catalog

  • Store recommendations don't keep up with currencies.
  • Exchange rates and purchasing power move a little every month.
  • What comparable games charge in each region doesn't show in your own backend.

The drift doesn't announce itself, so prices set two years ago still look right in the backend today.

What we do

Every currency, every SKU, kept in step.

Regional pricing problems are hard to see from inside one catalog. We compare your prices in every currency with what comparable games charge, fix both the overpriced and the underpriced regions, and keep checking as currencies move.

  • One review in both directions

We flag overpriced regions where you're losing conversion, and underpriced ones where resellers are capturing your margin. Both are addressed in the same pass, in the same deliverable.

  • DLC gets the same treatment

Soundtracks, season passes, deluxe editions and cosmetic packs all go through the same review and rollout plan. Companion SKUs are often the most overlooked part of catalog pricing. We don't overlook them.

  • From approval to rollout

After onboarding, a regional pricing review lands in Partner Hub. Once you approve, we set the new prices on every PC and console store, timed around each store's cooldown rules so your next promo slot isn't held up.

  • Price drift doesn't stop, and neither do we

Currencies and comparable games keep moving after the first review. We refresh the review as drift builds across your catalog, and your IndieBI team flags regional issues along the way. No need to ask.

How it works

Your headline USD price is only part of the picture.

Three of the inputs are public: exchange rates, purchasing power data and each store's price tiers. Keeping all three up to date across every currency and store is weeks of work most teams don't have. The fourth input is what comparable titles actually charge in every region, from our data on 100K+ SKUs, and no single publisher can build that alone.

  1. Review

We check every SKU in every currency against the four inputs, with base games and DLC in the same pass.

  2. Approve

    Your step

You see every change and the reason for it in Partner Hub. Know a market better than the data does? Tell us, and we adjust. Nothing changes until you approve it.

  3. Roll out

We set the approved prices on every PC and console store, with a rollout plan around each store's rules, and refresh the review as currencies move.

Proof

Regional pricing, done at scale

IndieBI taking over our pricing strategy has allowed us to focus on game development while having confidence that trickier issues like regional pricing loopholes and other pricing discrepancies are being effectively addressed.
